Solaris Bus & Coach has launched a virtual walk through its manufacturing plant in Bolechowo near Poznań, where innovative buses and trolleybuses are being produced. The 360° panoramic images, which are available in the Street View function of Google Maps, were taken both in offices and in production halls.
Thanks to the virtual tour Solaris, customers and suppliers are able to see what the manufacturing processes of the environmentally friendly vehicles looks like. From the comfort of any computer, one can take a walk through the plant and become familiar with many production stages – from the bodyframe to the finished bus. Moreover it is possible to look inside a few offices, including Solaris Visual Design Center where the company’s customers can configure and customize products in virtual reality.
Solaris manufactures its innovative public transport vehicles in four plants located around Poznań. Bodyframes for buses and trams are being built in two welding facilities in Środa Wielkopolska. Final assembly of rail vehicles takes place in Poznań. The last production stage of Solaris buses and trolleybuses is carried out in Bolechowo, in the largest of four plants which is also the company's headquarters.
