Solaris Bus & Coach S.A. has appointed four new persons to the executive management board. The experienced managers will help the innovative bus and tram manufacturer prepare for further growth.

Solaris Bus & Coach S.A. has appointed four new persons to the executive management board. The experienced managers will help the innovative bus and tram manufacturer prepare for further growth.

On 1 June 2012, Zbigniew Palenica joined Solaris’ management as Member of the Board for Finance, Investment and Purchasing. He also supports the company’s activities in the rail vehicle business. The experienced public transport manager had been looking for a new professional challenge after 16 years with Kraków City Transport, including nine years on the management board. Palenica is an active member of the Polish Association of Public Transport (IGKM) and the International Association of Public Transport (UITP), where he is a vice president.

On 1 August 2012, another three experienced managers were called to the Solaris executive board. All were previously directors of their respective departments, which have now been elevated to board-level representation.

Małgorzata Olszewska now is Member of the Board for Sales & Marketing. Having joined the company in 2004, she developed her management skills by leading Sales, Bid Preparation and Marketing departments, with Solaris’ international subsidiaries also reporting to her. Paweł Kaczalski has been appointed Member of the Board for Production and Dariusz Michalak joins the board with responsibility for Research & Development. Both have been with Solaris for fifteen years.

The Solaris Bus & Coach S.A. executive management board now consists of seven persons. Besides CEO Solange Olszewska and the new members, Helena Krystyna Woźniak heads Human Resources and Martin Gruber represents After Sales.
