New post coordinates sales activities of rail vehicles. Paulo Santos brings close to 25 years of experience in the rail industry to Solaris.
Paulo Santos was appointed to Solaris’ newly-created position of Sales Director for rail vehicles in October. The experienced manager has worked in the urban rail industry for many years.
Santos’ tasks will include the coordination of sales activities, winning new clients and close supervision of ongoing rail vehicle projects. Santos heads the team of Solaris’ regional sales representatives for rail vehicles and reports directly to Małgorzata Olszewska, Member of the Board for Sales and Marketing.
Having studied electrical engineering and IT at Technical University of Lisbon, Santos has been continually involved in the rail industry since 1988, particularly in regional trains, metros and light rail. He held management positions at Siemens, including a spell as Sales Director for metros and light rail vehicles in the Asia-Pacific and North and South America market regions. Latterly he was responsible for Bombardier Transportation’s worldwide sales activities in light rail vehicles.
Paulo Santos is married and has two sons.
