43 Solaris Urbino 12 will be delivered to ÖBB Postbus. The contract will be completed by 2017. This is the second order from the Austrian operator for Solaris buses. Solaris has been present on the Austrian market since 2003.

Solaris will deliver 43 Solaris Urbino 12 city buses to Austrian national bus operator &delivery will take place between 2013 and 2017 and is a part of the operator’s fleet renewal programme. In the next five years ÖBB Postbus is going to order up to 700 city and intercity buses, adapted to meet all passengers’ needs. Thanks to this investment project, the percentage of accessible vehicles in the fleet will rise to 87 per cent by 2017.
The cooperation between ÖBB Postbus and Solaris began in 2009 with the order of fourteen Urbino 10 midibuses. So far, Solaris vehicles are operated by over twenty Austrian operators in such diverse locations as Vienna, Salzburg and the Alpine resort of Mayrhofen.
