Jubilee bus is a Solaris Urbino 12 for Stadtbus Winterthur. Cooperation began with the first Solaris bus in Switzerland in 2002. Stadtbus Winterthur runs the largest Solaris fleet in Switzerland.

The 222nd Solaris bus in Switzerland is an Urbino 12 low-floor city bus, which joins the fleet of Stadtbus Winterthur. Solaris board member Martin Gruber handed over the jubilee bus to Councillor Matthias Gfeller, Head of the City of Winterthur’s Municipal Utilities Department, and Thomas Nideröst, Managing Director of Stadtbus Winterthur. Solaris and Stadtbus Winterthur have worked together ever since the first Solaris bus was delivered to Switzerland in 2002. This Urbino 12 from the model’s previous product generation continues to serve the passengers of Winterthur.

Both Urbino 12 are part of the largest Solaris fleet in Switzerland, currently standing at 58 vehicles. Apart from 30 standard diesel buses and 18 articulated diesel buses, Stadtbus Winterthur also operates ten Trollino articulated trolleybuses.

"The delivery of the 222nd Solaris bus to Stadtbus Winterthur, the operator of the largest Solaris fleet in Switzerland, is a very happy occasion for us. We would like to thank Stadtbus Winterthur for the successful cooperation, which has been continued since the delivery of the first Solaris bus in 2002. We value the trust that has been extended to us once again. We are honoured by this long-standing partnership and will strive to continue to meet our customer’s expectation in us. We are looking forward to continuing this sustainable relationship", said Martin Gruber, Member of the Solaris Management Board for Sales, After Sales, Marketing and Quality Assurance.

Solaris diesel buses and trolleybuses are operated by 33 transport companies in all parts of Switzerland. Over the past years, Solaris has established itself as the third largest supplier of new city buses to the country.
